Articulation

How far the suspension moves to keep the tires on uneven ground.

Approach angle

The clearance at the front of the rig as it meets an obstacle. Bumper shape and tire size change it.

Breakover angle

The clearance under the middle of the rig as it crosses a crest. A longer wheelbase high-centers sooner.

Low range

The Shift toggle. It gives the wheels more torque and lowers top speed.

Tire inserts

Foam or other inserts that sit inside the tire. The Parts catalog has no insert, soft foam, medium foam, firm foam and dual-stage. Softer inserts let the tire conform to rock. Firmer ones support the sidewall.

Drag brake

Holds the rig in place when you release the throttle. The stock rigs use it at full strength, like an RC crawler's ESC.
